Effective promotion of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 47/135 of 18 December 1992, by which it adopted the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities annexed to that resolution, and bearing in mind article 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1 as well as other relevant existing international and regional standards and national legislation, Recalling also its subsequent resolutions on the effective promotion of the Declaration and all relevant resolutions of the Human Rights Council, Recalling further Human Rights Council resolution 32/5 of 30 June 2016, entitled “Human rights and arbitrary deprivation of nationality”, 2 and all previous resolutions adopted by the Human Rights Council and the Commission on Human Rights on the issue of human rights and the arbitrary deprivation of nationality, Recalling Human Rights Council resolution 37/14 of 22 March 2018, 3 in which the Council considered the recommendations of the Forum on Minority Issues at its tenth session, held in December 2017, on the rights of minority youth, 4 __________________ 1 2 3 4 19-22293 (E) See resolution 2200 A (XXI), annex.
