Note by the Secretariat
In his report, prepared pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 28/16, the
Special Rapporteur on the right to privacy focuses on the work undertaken in the first three
years of his mandate, with a particular focus on the work done on surveillance and privacy,
and reflects on the role and mandates of special procedure mandate holders.
