Note by the Secretariat
The Secretariat has the honour to transmit to the Human Rights Council the report of
the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, prepared
pursuant to Council resolution 32/19. In her report, the Special Rapporteur considers key
elements of a human rights-based approach to integrated services and protection measures
on violence against women, with a focus on shelters and protection orders.
