Sustainable fisheries, including through the 1995 Agreement for
the Implementation of the Provisions of the United Nations
Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to
the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and
Highly Migratory Fish Stocks, and related instruments
The General Assembly,
Reaffirming its annual resolutions on sustainable fisheries, including
resolution 75/89 of 8 December 2020, and other relevant resolutions,
Taking into account the continuing situation concerning the coronavirus
disease (COVID-19) and the limitations recommended on meetings within the United
Nations premises as precautionary measures aimed at containing the spread of
COVID-19,
Recalling the relevant provisions of the United Nations Convention on the
Law of the Sea (the Convention), 1 and bearing in mind the relationship between the
Convention and the 1995 Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the
United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to
the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory
Fish Stocks (the Agreement), 2
